Veteran’s Dinner Thank you and God Bless Our Vets!!!
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, please let us always express our gratitude to all who served or are serving in our military!
On Sunday, November 8th, 43 teens in our parish family were given the opportunity to extend respect, honor and gratitude to our Veterans by hosting a special dinner.
The young people arrived early in the day and decorated, helped prepare a meal, served and entertained some of our parish Veterans.
It was a blessing to have the opportunity to serve those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Some of the Veterans shared some of their experiences with the group. It was inspiring to hear of the courage and bravery of our parishioners.
This event would not have been possible without some generous donations of turkey from the Street family, and Dawn McLaughlin who donated pork loin and shared her culinary expertise that lead the kitchen detail. We also thank the many other adults that helped support and supervise all aspects of the event and many donations from families towards the meal.
Special thanks to Doreen Gray, who put the programs together and shared her gift of leading us in music to honor all those in attendance.
Extra donations of food were given to Loaves and Fishes soup kitchen in New Milford.
As always, we Thank God above all for giving us these moments to bring generations together to share time in love and respect.
