Prayer Ministries

Parish Prayer Line
Praying for the needs of parish and parishioners. This ministry consists of parishioners committed to offering some time each day, individually, in prayer for the specific needs of individuals in our parish and beyond.

Email Prayer Line – Prayer requests are sent via email.  This enables members to access prayer intentions and pray when it is convenient to do so. To join this ministry, please contact Debbie at debhmcl@gmail.com

Phone Prayer Line – Members of this ministry use a phone tree system to offer prayers of intercession for all those who have made specific prayer requests through our parish prayer line (parishioners and non-parishioners alike). Members of the prayer team pray in the privacy of their own home at their own convenience. To join this ministry, please contact Teri Luncente: 860-355-8143

Seven Sisters Apostolate
Give the gift of intercessory prayer to your priest and parish. Seven women spiritually united in prayer, each offering one hour of prayer, one day each week, solely for the intentions of the Pastor. The hour within the given day can be flexible, and the manner of prayer is the gift of the Seven Sister. The seven are formed so that each day of the week the Priest has the gift of intercessory prayer. The bond of prayer strengthens the Priest, the seven, the Church the community, and brings sustaining grace. Additional groups of Seven can be formed as the Apostolate continues to grow.

  • Any woman of the Parish is welcome to participate.
  • Please contact: Laurie Dwyer; at LDwyerlmc@Gmail.com, and put STFX Seven Sisters in the subject line.

Confraternity of the Rosary
Organization is one of service, dedication, fellowship and caring. These ministers clean and press the altar linens used each week in our liturgies. They also prepare the worship spaces for the celebration of the sacraments each month by polishing, light cleaning, and watering plants. In addition, the ministers make rosary beads and serve with a devotion to Mary. They meet the first Monday of the month in the church hall where they share a lunch, fellowship, and prayer.
